My Review on My New Prada Vitello Shine Ankle Boots

So, guys it has been about a week now since I got my Prada boots. These are not my first Pradas, I have bought a pair of Prada high-heeled gladiator sandals and also a pair of Prada Oxford shoes. All Prada shoes that I have bought are comfortable and high quality.
I do like the look of Christian Louboutin shoes and when you flash those red soles, everyone know that you're wearing a 1000 Euro pair of shoes but I have tried them so many times in Apropos Cologne and every time they just hurt my feet so bad even though I actually have narrow feet. So, sadly, I stay away from them.
I have flirted with YSL Tribute heels and I have to say they look sexier and classier (especially the nude ones) than Louboutins but unfortunately I never get them in sale season because the ladies in Cologne get them first the minute Apropos put the 'sale' sign on their store.
So, for comfort I always go for Prada.
When I saw these shoes in August 2012 in Ylang Ylang Bonn, I was immediately smitten but 700 Euros was just too much for something that as soon as you wear they have scuffs and scratches due to walking. I would rather buy a handbag for that money! So I just left them there and hoped no one would buy them. As they say be careful with what you wish for because it might come true and thankfully for me, IT DID!!!!
In sale season January 2013 I got the shoes for only 276 Euros! I was so happy as soon as I got home I wore them all the time in all my activities, cooking, cleaning, s*xing, you name it! Lol! But you know what? Those stirrup straps were such a pain in the ass coz I had to unbuckle them to wear or to take off the shoes. I thought something had to be done about them.
Then I got an idea. I asked a cobbler to cut the strap on the back and saw them to the sides of the zippers so that they wouldn't get in the way when I put them on and off. You can see the result on picture no. 2.
Prada shoes are good quality and I'm glad that Miuccia Prada still think of comfort when she designs her shoes unlike Louboutin who once said: I do not make comfortable shoes and I do not make shoes for women with wide feet. I could only SMGDH.

 

 

My Review on Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Hi guys, this time I'm going to write about something different. This time I'm reviewing a cosmetics product.
As you guys might have known, especially those who live in Germany. They do not import Revlon anymore. Revlon Colorstay foundation used to be my holy grail foundation until they stop selling it here. I still got a couple of bottles from Ebay but when they changed the formula it's not my holy grail anymore. The consistency is so watery and after a few hours my face started to get oily again.
I do not understand why cosmetics companies love to change the formula of their products. I say if it's not broken DO NOT FIX IT! That's why I wanted to try Estee Lauder Double Wear. Ever since it came out, the ladies at Make-up Alley said it still has the same formula. I was actually skeptical about this foundation at first because Estee Lauder is the mother company of MAC as well. I love MAC lipglasses and powders but I hate their liquid foundations. They're just too heavy and won't stay put on my skin!
But anyway, I got one in 4N2 which is Spiced Sand and let me tell you, it's sooooo long lasting and it stays put all day! All I have to do is just apply the foundation on my face using my fingers and then apply some MAC blot powder to set it, and voila, come what may! In MAC I'm using NC42 which is a bit lighter than 4N2 but it still looks natural.
The coverage is medium to full. I covers all the blemishes on my face and it doesn't give me a mask-like face.
Since the packaging kinda sucks I bought MAC foundation pump, it fits the opening of Double Wear like a condom. I just have to trim it a few mm so that it's not too long. So, yeah, I would definitely recommend this product for those who want to look good the whole day.

Louis Vuitton Lumineuse PM in Aurore

Hi guys!!! It has been sometimes :-). I love love Louis Vuitton. Not only because they have good quality bags but also they stand behind their products not to mention an excellent customer service. So for my own Christmas present I got my self a Lumineuse PM in Aurore! The bag is very spacious and what I like about it is that they actually have three pockets inside! One with a zipper and two without. I love love LV's Empreinte leather. Here's the bag!

My Louis Vuitton Alma Vernis in Rouge Fauviste

Hello guys! Sorry, I haven't updated my blog for what feels like ages! It's almost a year since the last time I wrote that piece on those Michael Kors heels that I wore every week-end on parties in Summer until they broke down in August! Lol! yeah, those shoes have gone to hell and back with me and I could show you coupons! Lol!
Anyway, I was working for an IT company as an account manager (February-November 2012) and as a birthday present to my self (June 3rd) I bought a bag from Louis Vuitton. Here it is, Miss Alma in Vernis leather and the color is called Rouge Fauviste. The name of the color is a mouthful and I better learn to pronounce it correctly! Without further ado, enjoy the pics of one of the most iconic bags from the House of Louis Vuitton!

My New Michael Kors High Heeled Sandals

Michael Kors is the king of elegance and everything that screams luxury. These are my new addition to my Michael Kors shoes. Unbelievably chic and they look (as Barney always says) legendary!
I will expect nothing less from Michael Kors, the quality and the comfort are top notch! These summer if you see a girl sashaying down the street with easy walk, holla at her coz that could be me!

SoHo Bar Amsterdam

As soon as me and my friends enter the bar, I just had to take a picture. The bar is gorgeous and I thought the surrounding would be a perfect background for my Louis Vuitton Petillante Clutch. In this picture, I'm wearing a Jane Norman dress, Roberto Cavalli watch and D&G cuff.

My New Edina Ronay Satchel in Teal

Look what I have found in TK Maxx!!! Seriously, if you look carefully you can find gems in this store like this bag from Edina Ronay! And the bag cost only 74€. Edina Ronay is a knitwear designer from UK, her sweaters and cardigans are worn a lot by British celebrities and royal members. To be honest, I love, love this bag. I have always wanted a bag that looks like Mulberry's Alexa, but for that price I would rather get a Prada bag. I have seen some other bags in the same style for less price (Coccinelle, Marco Polo, etc) but nothing caught my eyes until I saw this bag. The bag still has that old school satchel look but the color makes the bag look more grown-up and the light golden hardware makes the bag look expensive! No one believes how cheap I bought the bag! Inside of the bag there's a center compartment with a zipper that divides the bag to two sections, and a wall pocket (also with a zipper). There's also a pocket on the backside. What I love about the bag is the tassel and the bag charm. The tassel and the bag charm don't look like an after thought. You CAN NOT take off the tassel and the bag charm because you would have to make the slit on it longer (with a thin cutter) in order to get the bag charm go through the slit! Don't worry though, the bag charm doesn't cheapen the look.
What makes me love it even more is the slouchy look of the flap when you carry the bag using the hand held. A lot of bags with similar style has a rigid look and it makes the bag look too mature but fear not, this one doesn't make me look too young nor too old! Oh and the smell! I'm out of words.....

My New Zara Gold Shoes

Ha! I haven't broken my 2012 resolutions yet coz I paid the shoes using Zara Voucher that I was given as a Christmas present.

I'm still ambivalent about these shoes. They are GOLD and SHINY!!! Heels are 12cm. The only thing I can wear them with is a simple little black dress or I'll look like I'm ready to go to an ice skating competition at the Olympic games. Also, I can not wear them during the day and people would instantly recognize me in the club with the phrase, 'Oh, the girl with the golden shoes!'.

But then the shoes are soooo comfortable and was made in Spain, they were limited edition. Most of Zara shoes are made in China so these shoes are special! So let's vote! Are these shoes a DO or a DON'T???

My New Michael Kors Gibson Booties

Fellow Americans and Canadians, do you know how lucky you are? You have all these awesome comfortable shoes without the silly price tag, Jessican Simpson (ahem), Michael Kors, Diane Von Fürstenberg, Chinese Laundry, etc. What do we have here in Germany? Buffalo (hurts like crazy), Deichmann (cheap quality), and the rest are shoes for grannies (Hello, Tamaris!!). And the rest are sooo expensive designer shoes that you even have to order from some Italian websites!

Introducing Michael Kors Gibson booties, 13cm heels and 13,5cm platforms. Poppa Bear got them for me. As comfortable as a pajama,  as hot as ghost chilli pepper! These are shoes that go from work to play and beyond (bedroom romp, you asked for it!). I love how they use the silver hardware to decorate the front part, the silver tone gives a modern touch. The combination of the suede and leather goes well with the material-blocking trend but retains the classical look of the shoes. They would never go out of style!

My New Bruno Magli Knee Boots

OMG! When I was cleaning up and packing my stuff to bring to my Christmas holiday trip I found my brand new Bruno Magli shoes that I just bought last week. I've forgotten about these shoes what with my best friends came to visit me and all the shoe fiasco that I had in the last couple of weeks.
So, introducing Bruno Magli knee high boots! Yes these are some fancy shoes (980€) and to forget having them is beyond me! These shoes even came with authenticity card and guarantee card! You don't see such shoe often here in Germany (unless in Munich or Dusseldorf).
These shoes are made of soft but tough suede and there's a zipper on the back. The shoes have 13cm heels and 4cm platforms. The shoes are quite comfortable but since the soles are leather I would have to have them re-done with rubber soles. The shape of the shoes make legs look slimmer and shapelier. I have to say I love them and I love the attention I'm getting when I wear these shoes!

My New Prada Platform Heels

They are here!!! They are gorgeous and very intricate!! The heels are 14cm high! I love them. The soles are made of leather but the part where they hit the ground is injected with rubber, so you won't slip! No wonder why Prada shoes are some of the most expensive shoes in the market!

My New Gucci Guccisima Shawl

I do not like shawl because it actually makes shorter people (like me) even shorter. So, to make my self love shawl I bought Louis Vuitton Logomania shawl. The problem was some part of the lamb wool got into my eyes and as a lens wearer, that's bad. I also don't like the fact that it sheds like a balding man! So, I sold that and bought my self this warm and nice Gucci shawl.
The shawl is long and big (I'm talking about the shawl!). It's about 180cm long and 36cm wide. The shawl is not as warm as the Louis Vuitton shawl but it's better than go neckbare (influenza, anyone?), especially because I don't get no wool stuck in on my eyeballs!

It's a tad too wide on the waist but that's ok. I actually got three dresses as well but they are too big so I will send them back.

The New Look of My Luois Vuitton Empreinte Petillante Clutch

Ever since I got mugged by some thugs, I decided to take an action to prevent such incident to happen in future by attaching a chain to the bag and to my watch (or leather cuff with D-ring that I have ordered). The bag looks more interesting with the chain I think.

My New Moschino Leather Gloves

I found another treasure at TK Maxx Cologne! A pair of very soft leather gloves from Moschino. They only cost 50 € and such designer leather gloves usually cost between 200 to 300 €! The gloves are lined with wool and angora (is that real cat's fur?) and they are so warm!

I love the grommet accent, it adds a touch of punk and rock'n'roll to the elegance of the aubergine color of the gloves. Not only that, they also have a heart-shaped jewel in gold on the outer sides with the word Moschino engraved on the metal. Lovely!
